Snap 2.0 Privacy Policy

Effective date: 5 OCT 2026

Snap 2.0 is operated by Monstrum Computers (Pty) Ltd, trading as Monstrum Digital (“Monstrum”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle information in the Snap application, including its optional Google Calendar connection.

Information we handle

Depending on your role and use of Snap, we handle account and contact details, crew profiles, availability, production bookings, assignments, timesheets, rates, earnings and payment records.

When you connect Google Calendar, we also handle:

  • Your connected Google account email address.

  • Authorisation tokens that allow Snap to synchronise without asking you to sign in each time.

  • The identifier and name of the dedicated Snap calendar.

  • Event identifiers and synchronisation records needed to maintain your Snap booking events.

Google Calendar access and use

Google Calendar access is optional and requires your permission.

Snap requests permission to create and manage secondary calendars created by the application. It uses this access to maintain Snap Crew Schedule or Snap Company Schedule in the connected account.

Events contain relevant booking information, such as job names, assignment dates, positions and booking status. Company calendar events also include crew names, production company names and job day types.

Snap creates and updates events when bookings change and removes events for bookings that are cancelled or removed from the schedule. Synchronisation may run while the application is closed.

Snap does not read Gmail messages, Google Drive files or unrelated calendar events. Your Google password is not provided to Snap.

Changes made directly to Snap-managed events in Google Calendar may be overwritten during synchronisation. Those changes do not update Snap bookings.

How we use information

We use information to provide production scheduling, crew management, timesheet and finance features; maintain optional calendar connections; control access; and resolve operational or technical problems.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use Google user data for advertising or to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Snap complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, when using or transferring Google user data.

Sharing and service providers

Snap uses Supabase to provide authentication, database hosting and backend processing. Google connection details and authorisation tokens are processed by Snap’s backend hosted on Supabase. Booking information is sent to Google to maintain the calendar you connect.

Authorised Monstrum administrators can access operational records required for their work. Crew access is restricted to information permitted by their role.

If you share a Snap calendar through Google Calendar, people you give access to may see its events. Calendar sharing is controlled through Google.

Where enabled, relevant operational and financial records are exchanged with Current RMS and Xero to support production and accounting workflows.

We may disclose information where required by law. We do not disclose Google user data to advertisers or data brokers.

Protecting information

Snap uses encrypted HTTPS connections for communication with its backend and Google. Access to application records is controlled through authentication and server-enforced permissions.

Google authorisation tokens are stored in private backend records and are not included in ordinary app data returned to users.

Retention and deletion

We retain operational information while needed to provide Snap’s services and meet business, accounting or legal requirements. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Google authorisation tokens are retained while your connection is active. Disconnecting Google Calendar in Snap stops synchronisation and removes the saved tokens from the active connection record.

Disconnecting does not automatically delete the existing Google calendar, its events or the saved connection identifiers. You can remove the calendar through Google Calendar and request deletion of remaining connection records from Monstrum.

To request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, contact marcel@monstrum.co.za. We may verify your identity before processing a request. Records required for accounting, legal obligations or resolving disputes may need to be retained. Copies in backups may remain until those backups expire.

Your choices

You can use Snap without connecting Google Calendar.

You can disconnect the integration in Snap Settings or revoke permission through your Google Account’s third-party connections settings.
